On October 2, 2024, the Guatemalan Ministry of Economy A572 Grade 65(450) steel issued Announcement No. 000644 in the official gazette, stating that an anti-dumping investigation has been initiated against galvanized A572 Grade 65(450) steel sheets (Spanish: acero galvanizado) originating in China at the request of the Guatemalan company TERNIUM INTERNATIONAL GUATEMALA, SOCIEDAD ANONIA. The Guatemalan tax numbers of the products involved are 7210.30.00.00, 7210.41.10.00, 7210.41.90.00, 7210.49.10.00, 7210.49.90.00, 7212.20.00.00, 7212.30.10.00, 7212.30.90.00, 7225.91.00.00, 7225.92.00.00, 7226.99.00.00, and 7226.99.00.00. The announcement will take effect from the day after it is published in the official Guatemalan A572 Grade 65(450) steel gazette.
