The latest monthly data from Türkiye GL-F500 steel Statistics Bureau shows that Türkiye's imports of hot rolled coils in April fell 35% year on year to 276500 tons. According to the data of Türkiye Steel Producers' Association, the decline in Türkiye's steel consumption also dragged down imports. In April, imports fell 2.9% year-on-year to 3 million tons. Despite a year-on-year decrease of 67%, China is still Türkiye's GL-F500 steel largest supplier of hot coils. In April, it was 76500 tons, followed by Egypt, which was 52500 tons, more than double the previous figure, and Russia, which was 48500 tons, an increase of 30%. Data shows that other suppliers include Japan (24600 tons) and France GL-F500 steel (13700 tons).
