India’s fair trade regulator finds seven steel organizations in violation of anti-monopoly regulations

India’s fair trade regulator, the Competition Commission of India, has found seven regional steel industry bodies in violation of anti-monopoly regulations, DX56D+AS steel strip ,as part of a broader investigation into pricing issues.

According to sources, these steel industry associations acted as conduits for various steel companies that are under investigation for anti-competitive practices.

The Jaina Steel Association, Hyderabad Re-rolling Mill Association, G Manufacturing Association, Raipur Angle-Channel Mill Association, Steel Association (Chhattisgarh), Raipur TMT Association, DX56D+AS steel strip ,and Steel City Re-rolling Mill Association (Mandi Gobindgarh) have all been found to be in violation of anti-trust regulations.

The Indian commission is investigating India's largest steel manufacturers—including Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SAIL, DX56D+AS steel strip ,and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam—over allegations of collusion during the 2018–2023 period.
