Data released on April 16 by Hoa Phat Group, Vietnam's leading steel enterprise, DX57D+AS steel strip ,shows that the company saw year-on-year growth in both steel production and sales volume during the first quarter of this year, maintaining its position as the country's largest steel producer.
In the three months ending March 31, Hoa Phat Group’s crude steel output reached 3.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 25%. Total sales volume—comprising construction steel, high-quality wire rod, hot-rolled coil, and steel billets—stood at 3 million tons, up 26% year-on-year.
By product category, sales volume of hot-rolled coils in the first quarter rose 48% year-on-year to 1.4 million tonnes; DX57D+AS steel strip ,steel pipe sales grew 30% to 241,000 tonnes; sales of galvanized sheets increased 19% to 106,000 tonnes; and sales of prestressed steel and wire rods rose 63% to 62,000 tonnes.
Hoa Phat Group stated that it firmly holds a leading position in Vietnam with a 36% market share and is currently the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia. DX57D+AS steel strip ,By the end of 2026, the group's annual crude steel production capacity is set to reach 16 million tonnes.
