Kocaer A1 Plant in Türkiye Will Stop Production for Two Months

Kocaer Steel, a large steel profile and commercial bar producer in Türkiye, will suspend the production of Aliaga A1 Plant during the second phase of the investment plan (January 5 to March 5), and conduct the commissioning of the investment project to put new machinery and equipment into use.

In order to achieve its growth goals for the next few years, the company is making strategic investments in renewable energy and high value-added new products, and has stated that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure that production and delivery targets for 2024 will not be affected due to production suspensions S390GD+Z steel.

Previously, the company planned to suspend production at its Aliaga A2 factory from April 24th to May 20th and introduce new mechanical equipment on the production line for necessary revisions, without interrupting its production and shipping processes S390GD+Z steel.
After investing in the latest technology to produce new high value-added products, Kocaer's goal is to make a positive contribution to the company's revenue and profitability, and further strengthen global competitiveness and exports. It also plans to increase the installed capacity of its solar power plants from the current 13 million kilowatt hours to 45 million kilowatt hours to meet almost all electricity needs.

At present, Kocaer has a comprehensive S390GD+Z steel production capacity of 800000 tons/year in its three Türkiye plants, which produce commercial bars, steel beams, pipes and profiles, of which 84% are used for export.
