According to Mysteel, NK K/D63N steel Turkey's largest integrated steel producer, Oyak Mining and Metallurgical Group, had a net profit of 1.81 billion liras (about 44.51 million U.S. dollars) in the first half of 2025, a sharp year-on-year decrease of 82.5%; operating income was 94.96 billion liras (about 2.33 billion U.S. dollars), NK K/D63N steel a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%; operating profit was 3.74 billion liras (about 91.98 million U.S. dollars), a significant decline from 13.37 billion liras in the same period last year.
In the first half of the year, the group's crude steel production was 3.7 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.7%. NK K/D63N steel Erdemir Steel produced 1 million tons, while Isdemir Steel produced 2.7 million tons. Plate production was 3.27 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%, and long steel production was 366,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.7%. During the same period, plate sales fell 5.4% year-on-year to 3.3 million tons, while long steel sales fell 16.8% year-on-year to 367,000 tons. Exports accounted for 25% of the company's total sales.
