According to Mysteel, Turkey's imports of stainless steel sheets and coils decreased by 3.5% year-on-year to 480,000 tons from January to August 2025. 30RK105 oriented electrical steel, This decline was mainly due to increased tariffs and ongoing anti-dumping investigations, resulting in a significant decrease in imports from major Asian suppliers such as China and Indonesia.

To support its domestic stainless steel industry, the Turkish government, through a presidential decree effective December 31, 2023, increased import tariffs on certain cold-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from 8% to 12%. 30RK105 oriented electrical steel, Meanwhile, on June 28 of this year, the Turkish Ministry of Trade launched an anti-dumping investigation into cold-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from China and Indonesia. This action stemmed from a complaint filed by POSCO Assan TST, Turkey's largest stainless steel producer, a joint venture between South Korea's POSCO and Turkey's Kibar Holding. The official results of the investigation are expected to be announced before the end of the year.

Data shows that China remains Turkey's largest supplier of stainless steel, despite a 11% year-on-year decrease in imports, reaching 167,000 tons; Indonesia ranks second, with imports of 120,000 tons, a 12.5% decrease year-on-year. In contrast, South Korea's exports to Turkey increased by 13%, reaching 102,000 tons; other major suppliers include Spain (13,000 tons), Finland (10,000 tons), and France (9,000 tons).

Industry experts believe that Turkey's recent trade policy adjustments are consistent with the global trend of many countries protecting their domestic industries. 30RK105 oriented electrical steel, If the anti-dumping investigation ultimately results in the imposition of additional tariffs, China and Indonesia's export shares may be further restricted, while domestic prices in Turkey are expected to receive some support.
