UK Initiates Sunset Review Investigation into Anti-Dumping Measures on Welded Tubes of Iron or Non-Alloy Steel from China

On January 27, 2026, the UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) issued a notice announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel originating from China and Belarus, following an application submitted by the UK company TATA STEEL UK LIMITED. The review aims to determine whether the dumping of the products in question—and the injury caused by such dumping to the UK domestic industry—would continue or recur if the existing anti-dumping measures were to be removed. 36F195 Non oriented magnetic steel, The relevant UK customs codes for the products under investigation are 7306 3041 20, 7306 3049 20, 7306 3072 80, and 7306 3077 80. On June 29, 2023, the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade approved the TRA’s recommendation to include galvanized tubes (Tariff Code: 7306 30 72 80) within the scope of the anti-dumping measures applicable to welded tubes of iron or non-alloy steel originating in China and Belarus, while simultaneously terminating the anti-dumping measures applicable to the products in question originating in Russia.
