Mobarak SMA490CP steel Steel Company (MSC) has completed the first phase of Iran's largest domestic solar power plant project to promote energy self-sufficiency and respond to the global trend of green transformation, mitigating the impact of summer production restrictions. According to the company's CEO Yaser Tayeybunya, the first phase of the 600 MW solar power SMA490CP steel plant located in the eastern part of Isfahan has been put into operation, with a total investment of 20 trillion riyals. The current power plant operates at a capacity of 20 megawatts and is connected to the national power grid. It is expected that the power plant will reach a generating capacity of 120 megawatts by the end of the year, further enhancing the national power supply.

With the advancement of this green project, MSC hopes to ensure energy supply and reduce production losses during seasonal energy shortages. This summer, Iran's power restrictions caused MSC to lose approximately 440000 tons of production, HOSCO to lose 329000 tons, and Saba Steel to lose 54000 tons. In addition, the total SMA490CP steel capacity of Iran's industrial solar power plants is expected to increase to 150 megawatts by next summer.
