According to a report by the Tehran Times on November 25, 2025, statistics released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association show that Iran's steel production reached 12.708 million tons in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (September 23 to October 22),B23R090 oriented electrical steel.
According to a report by the World Steel Association cited by the Iranian Organization for Mining and Mineral Development Innovation (IMIDRO), despite a drop in production to 2.6 million tons in December last year due to energy shortages (especially natural gas and electricity), a monthly decrease of 8.2%,B23R090 oriented electrical steel, Iran's steel production for the whole of 2024 still achieved a growth of 0.8% to 31 million tons, maintaining its position as the world's tenth largest steel producer.
