Kardemir, Türkiye's LR/DH55 steel integrated long material steel plant, has launched a vacuum refining equipment with an annual output of 1 million tons after the completion of hot commissioning on June 27, to improve the production capacity of high-quality steel, focusing on meeting the needs of automotive and machinery LR/DH55 steel manufacturing industries. At the same time, Kardemir has begun to produce M3 subway wheels and 1250mm locomotive wheels, enrich the product structure and support the construction of Türkiye's local and national track systems. Kardemir plans to put the five stream combined continuous casting machine into operation by the end of 2025, further expanding the LR/DH55 steel production capacity of construction steel and high carbon rail steel.
