Taiwan, China imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on China’s hot-rolled steel coils

On June 27, 2025, the competent LR/AH69 steel financial department of Taiwan announced that, upon the application of China Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Zhonglong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., temporary anti-dumping duties would be levied on specific hot rolled steel coils imported or originating from the Chinese Mainland LR/AH69 steel. A temporary anti-dumping duty of 16.9% will be imposed on Baosteel, Baosteel Zhanjiang, Shanghai Meishan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and their affiliated enterprises, and 20.15% will be imposed on other exporters and enterprises. The decision will take effect from July 3, 2025. The dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. The financial regulatory authority in Taiwan expects the final ruling of this case to be made within 60 days from the day after the initial ruling is determined LR/AH69 steel.
