On August 15, 2024, the Malaysian SN400A steel Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into flat rolled products of iron or non alloy steel with a width of 600mm or more, clad, plated or coated with tin (electrolytic tinplate or tinplate) originating from or imported from China, India, Japan and South Korea, in response to the application submitted by the domestic SN400A steel production enterprise Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (Perstima) Berhad on July 15, 2024. The preliminary ruling of this case is expected to be made within 120 days from the date of filing.
The stakeholders of this case should apply for the survey questionnaire from the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry no later than August 29, 2024, and submit the survey questionnaire and relevant supporting materials to the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry no later than September 13, 2024 SN400A steel.
