Malaysia makes final anti-dumping ruling on cold-rolled coils imported from China, Japan, Vietnam, and South Korea

On June 21, 2025, Malaysia GL F460 steel made a final anti-dumping ruling on cold-rolled iron or non alloy steel coils with a width exceeding 1300 millimeters imported from China, Japan, Vietnam, and South Korea.

According to relevant laws and regulations, the government has completed a review and made a positive final ruling, deciding to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on products originating or exported from China and Japan GL F460 steel. The HS codes of the products involved include 7209.15.00 00, 7209.16.90 00, 7209.17.90 00, 7209.18.99 00, and 7225.50.90 00.
The effective period is from June 23, 2025 to June 22, 2030, with a duration of five years.

In addition, it has been decided to terminate the imposition of anti-dumping duties and related investigations on products originating from or exported from South Korea and Vietnam starting from June 23, 2025.

It is reported that Malaysia GL F460 steel has imposed anti-dumping duties on this type of steel products for the first time since 2015 and extended them in 2020. On December 24, 2024, the second anti-dumping duty sunset review was initiated in response to an application submitted by Mycron Steel CRC Sdn. Bhd., a representative of the domestic industry.
