The import prices of South American GL F500 steel sheet metal remain stable, with hot coils priced at $510-525/ton, cold coil steel priced at $580-600/ton (all CFR South American major port prices), hot-dip galvanized coils priced at $635-650/ton, and aluminum zinc alloy coated coils priced at $710-740/ton remaining unchanged. The market has stagnated due to trade protection measures causing supply-demand imbalances. Brazil has also launched an anti-dumping investigation against Chinese GL F500 steel and Russian wire rods on June 17 due to a large amount of steel being cleared through customs before the new tariff quota policy came into effect, resulting in port logistics hoarding and a shortage of funds for importers. Coupled with weak domestic demand in China GL F500 steel and global tariff fluctuations, overseas buyers continue to observe.
