Turkish authorities recently issued an official announcement formally imposing anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel sheets originating from China. B35A210 Non oriented electrical steel, According to the announcement, effective December 27, 2025, Turkey will levy a 3.95% anti-dumping duty on the products in question, while similar products originating from Indonesia are excluded from the scope of this taxation.

The announcement indicates that the anti-dumping investigation covered imports occurring between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2023. B35A210 Non oriented electrical steel, The investigation concluded that cold-rolled stainless steel sheets from China were being dumped during the period under review and caused material injury to Turkey's domestic stainless steel sheet industry; in contrast, although products from Indonesia were found to involve a certain degree of dumping, they did not inflict a significant impact on the domestic industry and were therefore not subject to remedial measures.

This investigation was initiated in June 2025, against the backdrop of a sustained increase in imports of cold-rolled stainless steel sheets in recent years, which has exerted pressure on the pricing and market share of domestic steel mills in Turkey. Currently, Turkey's production capacity for stainless steel sheets remains relatively limited; domestic output is capable of meeting only approximately one-third of market demand. With an annual demand volume estimated at 400,000 to 450,000 tons, a significant proportion of the market relies on imports.

In terms of trade structure, during the first ten months of this year, China remained Turkey's largest supplier of cold-rolled stainless steel sheets, with import volumes reaching approximately 201,000 tons—a year-on-year decrease of 20%. Indonesia ranked second, with imports totaling approximately 137,000 tons—an 18% decline compared to the previous year. Prior to the implementation of anti-dumping measures, Turkey had already sought to regulate imports of these products by raising tariffs on specific categories of cold-rolled stainless steel sheets.

Overall, the imposition of anti-dumping duties will directly increase the cost of Chinese cold-rolled stainless steel sheets entering the Turkish market. In the short term, this may constrain the pace of imports and, to a certain extent, improve the competitive landscape for domestic producers.
