Türkiye's Erdemir raises domestic scrap steel purchase prices, but the overall market remains stable

Turkish steelmaker Erdemir has raised its domestic scrap purchasing prices after a hiatus in several months. NK K/E32 steel According to a price list released on August 8, Erdemir increased its purchase price for both DKP-grade and special-grade scrap by 305 lira/ton (approximately $7.50/ton) to 13,655 lira/ton and 13,650 lira/ton, respectively. As of August 7, the price of imported high-quality heavy melting scrap (HMS 1/2, 80:20) in Turkey was $347/ton CFR, up $1/ton from the previous day. Isdemir, another Oyak Group steel mill, maintained its purchase prices for DKP-grade and special-grade scrap at 13,100 lira/ton and 13,050 lira/ton, respectively. Steel mills such as Colakoglu and Asil Celik have also maintained their purchase prices since May.
