Thailand to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese H-beams

Recently, according to the draft final ruling released by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Trade, Thailand is considering imposing anti-dumping duties on H-beams from China for a period of five years. L690Q steel, The anti-dumping investigation into H-beams was initiated on November 14, 2024, involving the following HS codes: 7216.33.11.000, 7216.33.19.000, and 7216.33.90.000.

The anti-dumping duty rates calculated based on relevant laws and real-time information are 30.86-54.19% (based on CIF price). L690Q steel, Maanshan Iron & Steel will face a duty rate of 30.86%, while Hebei Jinxi Steel Co., Ltd. and other producers and exporters will face a duty rate of 54.19%.

It is understood that Thailand's annual H-beam steel production capacity is 1.6 million tons. During the survey period, domestic demand accounted for approximately 21.9% of the national capacity. L690Q steel, From January to July this year, Thailand imported 57,032 tons of H-beam steel products from China, accounting for 90.5% of Thailand's total H-beam steel imports during the same period.
