On November 15, 2024, the United States S235J2W steel International Trade Commission (ITC) made its fourth anti-dumping sunset review industry injury positive final ruling on Steel Concrete Reinforcing Bars imported from China, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine. The ruling stated that if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted, the substantial damage caused by the import of the products in question to the domestic industry of the United States may continue or recur within a reasonable foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping measures in this case remain effective.
On July 25, 2000, the US Department of S235J2W steel Commerce initiated an anti-dumping investigation into concrete and steel bars imported from China, Austria, Belarus, Indonesia, Japan, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, and Venezuela. On September 7, 2001, the United States officially began imposing anti-dumping duties on products involved in China, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, South Korea, and Ukraine. On June 1, 2018, the US Department of Commerce launched its third anti-dumping sunset review investigation into concrete steel bars imported from China, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine. On October 5, 2018, the US Department of Commerce made its final ruling on the third anti-dumping fast sunset review of concrete steel bars imported from China, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine. On November 1, 2023, the US Department of Commerce launched its fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into concrete steel bars imported from China, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine. On March 7, 2024, the US Department of Commerce made a final ruling on the fourth anti-dumping fast sunset review of concrete steel bars imported from China S235J2W steel, Belarus, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine.
