Vietnam Hoa Phat began producing the first batch of hot coils in May 2020. As of last week, the cumulative production of Hoa Phat first production of hot coils has exceeded 10 million tons. Prior to this, the cumulative production of hot coils in March reached 9 million tons, an increase of 1 million tons in two months, setting a new record for monthly A1008 DDS steel production of hot coils. Hoa Phat A1008 DDS steel is currently able to produce hot coils with thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm to 19mm and widths ranging from 700mm to 1650mm. Types include low carbon steel SAE1006 SAE1008、S235JR、SPHC、SPHD、BJPC、SPHT1， Medium carbon steel SS400, S275, S355, SAE1017, SS36, ASTM A36, and SPAH steel. Hoa Phat is also constructing the Dung Quat Complex 2 project with an annual production capacity of 5.6 million tons in the central province of Vietnam A1008 DDS steel. It is expected that after production in 2025, the total production capacity will reach 14 million tons/year, of which the hot coil production capacity is about 8.6 million tons/year.
