Türkiye Initiates Anti-Circumvention Investigation into Steel Pipe Fittings and Joints from China

On March 7, 2026, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Communiqué No. 2026/5, announcing that, in response to an application filed by the Turkish company Trakya Döküm San. ve Tic. A.Ş., it has initiated an anti-circumvention investigation regarding steel pipe fittings (Turkish: *Boru bağlantı parçaları*) originating from China. The investigation period for this case covers the years 2023 through 2025. The Turkish tariff code for the products under investigation is 7307.19. Interested parties are required to submit their questionnaires within 37 days from the date of the Communiqué's publication.

On July 13, 1999, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation into steel pipe fittings originating from China and Brazil. On April 27, 2000, Turkey issued a final determination in this case and began levying anti-dumping duties on the products in question from China and Brazil. On April 27, 2005, Turkey conducted a sunset review investigation; on September 7, 2006, it issued an affirmative final determination, thereby extending the period for levying duties on the products in question from China and Brazil for the first time.

On April 27, 2005, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation into steel pipe fittings originating from Bulgaria, Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Serbia and Montenegro. On May 22, 2012, April 21, 2018, and April 5, 2024—on all three occasions—Turkey issued affirmative determinations and extended the period for levying duties.

On December 14, 2012, Turkey initiated an anti-circumvention investigation concerning steel pipe fittings and joints originating from China. JFS A3021 JEH270C Automotive steel strip, On September 26, 2013, Turkey issued an affirmative final determination in the anti-circumvention investigation regarding the products in question from China, and subsequently began levying anti-dumping duties on the subject products originating from the Taiwan region of China.
