According to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, RAIN RI/E460 steel Turkey imported 497,000 tons of cold-rolled coil in the first half of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 33%.
Of this total, imports from South Korea amounted to 160,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 45%; Russia to 137,000 tons, an increase of 83%; China to 111,000 tons, RAIN RI/E460 steel a year-on-year increase of 54%; and Belgium to 31,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 72%.
During the same period, Turkey's cold-rolled coil exports totaled 202,500 tons, RAIN RI/E460 steel a year-on-year decrease of 13%. Of this, exports to Spain remained essentially unchanged at 66,000 tons; to Greece at 53,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26%; and to Italy at 47,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24%. Furthermore, Turkey exported 35,000 tons to Ukraine and 20,000 tons to Bulgaria.
