Kametstal, Ukraine SAPH310 steel is undergoing the third phase of major renovations on its No. 9 blast furnace, aimed at improving equipment reliability and fault free operation, stabilizing the thermal system of the blast furnace, minimizing equipment downtime, and thereby improving the production efficiency of pig iron. The SAPH310 steel project is expected to be completed within two weeks, and the renovation includes replacing the loading device and partially upgrading the cooling system. This includes replacing 64 protective plates, one shoulder cooler, and two main pressure pipelines with a diameter of 630mm, as well as partially updating the air outlet cooler. At the same time, the casting equipment is also under maintenance, including the replacement of machines for opening and closing cast iron gates. In order to ensure the stable operation of control and measurement equipment, communication is being restored, and the thermal probe will also be replaced to record the gas flow inside the SAPH310 steel furnace.
