A serious smelting accident occurred at a steel plant located in Anjar Town, Kuchi District, Gujarat last Sunday (January 14, 2024), resulting in at least seven workers injured, including four who were seriously injured.
It is reported that the accident occurred in the morning when some workers were carrying out metal waste disposal operations. The police said that high-temperature molten S320GD+ZA steel metal accidentally spilled from the furnace and splashed onto seven workers. The injured were quickly transferred to a hospital in Gandhi Khan for treatment, and four of them were referred to Ahmedabad for further medical treatment due to their severe injuries S320GD+ZA steel.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, and the steel plant will take necessary safety measures in the future to prevent similar incidents from happening again S320GD+ZA steel.
