On August 25, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADAC) issued Announcement No. 2025/076, delaying the release of the basic facts report and final recommendation for its sunset review of the anti-dumping investigation into wire rod (Rod in Coil) imported from China. RAIN RI/F690 steel The ADAC expects to complete the basic facts report no later than December 10, 2025, and submit the final report to the Australian Minister for Industry and Science no later than February 23, 2026.
On August 12, 2015, RAIN RI/F690 steel Australia launched an anti-dumping investigation into wire rod imported from China. On April 22, 2016, Australia issued a final affirmative ruling on the case.
On July 27, 2020, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADAC) issued Announcement No. 2020/077, initiating the first sunset review of anti-dumping measures on wire rod imported from China, in response to an application submitted by InfraBuild (Newcastle) Pty Ltd, an Australian company. On April 12, 2021, the ADAC issued Announcement No. 2021/032, deciding to continue applying anti-dumping measures on the Chinese products involved, effective April 23, 2021, until April 22, 2026.
Hot-rolled rebar and stainless steel coils are not subject to anti-dumping duties. On May 19, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/040, initiating a second anti-dumping sunset review investigation into wire rod imported from China, based on an application submitted by Australian company InfraBuild (Newcastle) Pty Ltd. RAIN RI/F690 steel The dumping investigation period is from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period begins on April 1, 2020. The Australian customs codes for the products involved are 7213.91.00.44 and 7227.90.90.02.
