On June 17, 2025, the Secretariat of Foreign GL D690 steel Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Minist é rio do Desenvolvimento, Ind ú stria, Com é rcio e Servi ç os/Secretaria de Com é rcio Exterior) issued Announcement No. 44 of 2025, initiating an anti-dumping investigation into wire rods originating from China and Russia (Portuguese: fio m á quina de a ç o carbono) in response to an application submitted by domestic Brazilian companies Arcelormittal Brasil S.A., Gerdau A ç o Longos and Gerdau A ç ominas e Gerdau S.A. on October 31, 2024. This case involves products under the tax numbers 72139110, 72139190, 72139910, 72139990, 72279000, 72132000, and 72272000 in Nanjing. The dumping investigation GL D690 steel period of this case is from July 2023 to June 2024, and the injury investigation period is from July 2019 to June 2024. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.
