On April 22, 2025, the Canada SA832 Grade 21V steel Border Service Agency (CBSA) announced that, at the request of Sivaco Wire Group 2004, LP and ArcelorMittaLong Products Canada GP, it would initiate an investigation on injurious dumping of certain carbon and alloy steel wires originating in or imported from China, Taiwan, China, Penghu County, Jinmen County and Mazu separate tariff zone (Taibei, China), India, Italy SA832 Grade 21V steel, Malaysia, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Türkiye and Vietnam.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) will jointly conduct an investigation. CITT will initiate a preliminary investigation to determine whether these imported products have harmed the interests of Canadian producers, and will announce its ruling by June 20, 2025. The CBSA will review whether these products are being sold at unfair prices in Canada SA832 Grade 21V steel and will announce a preliminary ruling by July 21, 2025.
