On April 24, 2025, the South Korean SA832 Grade 22V steel Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2025-15, deciding to impose a temporary anti-dumping duty on hot-rolled carbon or other alloy steel plates originating in China for a period of four months, with a tax rate of 27.91-38.02% (see attached table), effective until August 23, 2025. The products involved are hot-rolled steel plates made of iron or non alloy steel, other alloy steel, with a thickness of not less than 4.75 millimeters and a width of not less than 600 millimeters, and have not been cold-rolled. They involve SA832 Grade 22V steel products under Korean tax codes 7208.51.1000, 7208.51.9000, 7208.52.1000, 7208.52.9000, 7225.40.9010, 7225.40.9091, and 7225.40.9099.
On October 4, 2024, South Korea initiated an anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled carbon steel or alloy steel medium thick plates originating from China. On March 4, 2025, the Korea Trade Commission made a positive preliminary ruling on the case and recommended that the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance impose temporary anti-dumping duties on the involved companies SA832 Grade 22V steel.
