EU approves Salzgitter’s acquisition of Krupp’s steel business

The European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control over Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann by Salzgitter Mannesmann, concluding that the transaction would have a limited impact on competition in the market for semi-finished carbon steel products.
