On June 27, 2025, the National Customs BV/EH36 steel Commission (NTC) of Pakistan announced the extension of the current anti-dumping duty on galvanized steel coils/sheets from China to Galvalume Steel Coils/Sheets, with a tax rate of 40.47%. The Pakistani tariff codes for the products involved are 7210.6110, 7210.6190, 7210.6910, and 7210.6990. The measures announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication until February 8, 2027.
On August 11, 2015, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan initiated an anti-dumping investigation into galvanized coils originating from or imported from China. On February 8, 2017, Pakistan made a positive final ruling on the case and officially imposed anti-dumping duties ranging from 6.09% to 40.47% on Chinese BV/EH36 steel products involved in the case. The measures came into effect on February 8, 2017 and are valid for 5 years. On February 8, 2022, Pakistan initiated its first sunset review investigation into the case. On August 31, 2022, Pakistan made its first sunset review final ruling on the case, continuing to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from 6.09% to 40.47%. The measures will take effect from February 8, 2022 and are valid for 5 years. The Pakistani BV/EH36 steel tax codes for the products involved are 7210.4110, 7210.4190, 7210.4990, 7212.3010, 7212.3090, 7225.9200, and 7226.9900.
