Kardemir lowers the listing price of rebar and wire rod

Kardemir, a steel mill in Türkiye BV/A460 steel, restarted the order receiving window for deformed steel bars and wire rods on July 9, and the listing price was slightly lowered in dollars in the early period. Against the backdrop of falling import costs for scrap steel, Kardemir has lowered the hanging price of 12-32mm threaded steel by $7/ton to $536/ton EXW; The price of 36-40mm threaded steel hanging plate has also been reduced by $7/ton to $545/ton EXW.

In terms of wire, the listing price of 6-27mm (SAE 1008-1010) grade wire has been lowered by $10/ton to $555/ton EXW; The price of 5.5mm same grade wire has been lowered to $570/ton EXW; The price of 28-56mm same grade wire has been adjusted to $575/ton EXW, with a month on month decrease of $10/ton.

From the raw material side, on July 8, Türkiye BV/A460 steel imported high quality remelting scrap (HMS 1/2, 80:20) at a price of 347 US dollars/ton CFR, a slight drop of 0.5 US dollars/ton on a month on day basis. The continuous mild decline eased the cost pressure of steel mills.

It is worth noting that in this round, Kardemir only accepts orders for threaded steel and wire rods, and the windows for accepting orders for steel billets, sections, and profiles remain closed. In the future, it is necessary to continue to pay attention to the trend of scrap steel price and the support of the recovery rhythm of Türkiye's local demand for construction steel on the price of long BV/A460 steel materials.
