Hakan Faydasicok Steel (HFS) is a steel dealer and rolling mill headquartered in Konya, central Türkiye. It is understood that the company plans to build a steel rolling plant in the northern city of Karabuk for the production of hot and cold series products.
According to the project documents submitted by the company to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye for environmental impact assessment and approval, the annual capacity of the new JAC270E steel plant will reach 240000 tons. HFS plans to produce angle steel, HEA, HEB, IPE, NPI, and NPU grade steel sections and plates at the Karabakh Steel Plant to meet the needs of the automotive and defense industries.
Due to weak demand and high energy and raw material costs, most of Türkiye's JAC270E steel mills have shifted their focus to investing in high value-added steel products in recent years to improve their competitiveness in the global JAC270E steel market.
