On September 19, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice making an affirmative final determination in the antidumping investigation of cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel (CRNO) originating in or imported from China. These products fall under Indian Customs Codes 7210, 7225, and 7226. L290M steel, Cold-rolled fully hard silicon electrical steel (CRFH) used in the manufacture of cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel is not subject to the antidumping measures in this case.
On September 27, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice stating that, in response to applications submitted by Indian domestic companies POSCO Maharashtra Steel Pvt. Ltd. and CSCI Steel Corporation India Pvt. Ltd., it had initiated an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel originating in or imported from China. L290M steel, This investigation involves products under Indian Customs Codes 72251920, 72251990, 72261920, and 72261990, and certain products under Codes 72255010, 72107000, 72261910, 72269110, and 72261100. The period of investigation for dumping is from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, and the period of investigation for injury is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, and April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
