According to the Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data, in February 2024, India's crude steel production was 12.05 million tons, a decrease of 1.55% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 13.8%.

In addition, in February 2024, the consumption of finished A1011 CS Type A steel in India was approximately 11.33 million tons, a decrease of 12.57% month on month and an increase of 8.8% year-on-year. The export volume of finished steel increased significantly, with an export volume of 1.03 million tons, a month on month increase of 21.17% and a year-on-year increase of 78.4%; The net export volume was 270000 tons, an increase of 8.8% year-on-year. In January 2024, the net export volume was only 80000 tons. The demand has increased, and India's finished steel production has also increased. In February 2024, the finished steel production was 11.48 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%.

We has learned that some traders believe that A1011 CS Type A steel demand in India may decrease in the future. The general election in India from April to May 2024 may affect the government's infrastructure projects, thereby affecting downstream demand and tightening cash flow supply. Currently, some buyers are also observing the subsequent trends in the Chinese and A1011 CS Type A steel European markets.
