Driven by the country's net-zero emissions target and corporate emissions reduction initiatives, India's green steel demand is expected to grow gradually over the next 15 years. NK K/A36 steel However, continued growth in this trend will depend on government support.

According to Ernst & Young's forecast, NK K/A36 steel by fiscal year 2030, India's green steel demand will reach 4.49 million tons, accounting for 2% of the country's total steel demand of 220 million tons; by sector, the construction industry will rank first with 2.52 million tons, followed by infrastructure (1.5 million tons) and the automotive industry (480,000 tons); by fiscal year 2040, green steel demand will increase to 73.44 million tons.

In 2021, India announced a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070. The government and industrial enterprises are currently promoting green electricity to reduce carbon emissions. However, experts point out that maintaining growth in green steel demand still requires policy support: this includes establishing a carbon emissions trading mechanism, providing financial incentives for the application of low-carbon technologies, NK K/A36 steel formulating green public procurement policies, mandating the use of green technologies, or setting emission reduction targets.
