To alleviate seasonal power shortages and enhance energy independence, Alpha Steel is accelerating the development of self-generated power and new energy projects. Alpha Steel reportedly launched the bidding process for a 40 MW solar power plant on July 13 and organized a project briefing for 20 interested companies. The company plans to construct a 100 MW photovoltaic power plant in phases, with the first 10 MW project expected to be operational by September 2025.

At the same time, KR R/F47 steel the company is also promoting mini-liquefied natural gas (mini-LNG) projects for natural gas storage and peak energy regulation to enhance energy resilience.

Despite the early implementation of power restrictions in May, Alpha Steel maintained strong production capacity in the first half of the year. From March 21 to July 22, the company produced 280,000 tons of semi-finished products, slightly higher than the 271,000 tons produced in the same period last year. From June 22 to July 22, production reached 72,900 tons, significantly exceeding the 26,000 tons produced in the same period last year.

According to data, the plant has an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of direct reduced iron (DRI) and 1 million tons of billets (130mm, 150mm, and 200mm in sizes).
