It is reported that Indian steel producer JSW Steel Limited has placed an order with SMS Group in Germany to purchase a CSP ® Nexus Foundry and Rolling Integrated Steel Plant aims to improve the production efficiency and capacity of Dolwy A1011 CS Type B Steel Plant (located in Maharashtra) and is expected to commence operation in 2026.

This investment not only aims to innovate the company's sheet metal production process, but also plans to further enrich the product line through its expansion in product specifications (width and thickness). Meanwhile, CSP ® Nexus Steel is expected to support JSW Steel in making progress towards its carbon reduction targets and setting new industry standards in production efficiency and final hot-rolled product A1011 CS Type B steel specifications.

SMS Group pointed out that CSP ® Nexus technology enables JSW Steel to produce hot rolled strips and medium thick plates with a maximum width of 2600 millimeters in individual facilities, suitable for fields such as shipbuilding, wind power towers, and API pipelines. This hot-rolled A1011 CS Type B steel strip with a thickness range of 2 to 32 millimeters will provide JSW Steel with new opportunities to explore green sheet production while maintaining cost competitiveness.
