Local European panels continue to decline, with prices of high value-added panels being better than imports

The current hot coil prices in the European market are showing a downward trend, and due to the market's expectation of further decline in the future, there are not many transactions. In addition to sufficient inventory and poor expectations, the resumption of restrictions on blast furnaces across Europe A792 FS steel will also lead to oversupply. At present, the tradable price of domestic hot coils in Europe is between 720-730 euros/ton (776-787 US dollars/ton), a decrease of about 10 euros/ton compared to the previous week. In terms of cold coils, European steel mills have a weak production willingness, and the market is gradually reducing production. On the contrary, steel mills are more inclined to produce hot-dip galvanizing with higher added value. The current market cold coil price is approximately 830 euros/ton EXW (900 US dollars/ton), and the actual transaction price has decreased by approximately 30 euros/ton EXW. In terms of importing cold coils, South Korea's resource import quotation is 720 euros/ton CFR (780 US dollars/ton), which has been affected by the decline in post holiday futures in the Chinese market, with a month on month decrease of 20 euros/ton CFR. Currently, the imported resources have a relatively competitive advantage. On the contrary, due to the inability of overseas steel mills to adopt customized production for hot-dip galvanizing in Europe, hot-dip galvanizing often relies on local resources. At present, the quotation for hot-dip galvanizing is 850 euros/ton (920 US dollars/ton), which is basically stable on a weekly basis. The actual transaction price is about 10 euros/ton EXW lower A792 FS steel.
