India’s Jindal Steel expands its automotive steel plate Tuangur base with 200000 ton hot-dip galvanizing line put into operation

Indian core sheet and long LR/FH50 steel material producer JSPL recently announced that its first Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL 1) at its flagship factory in Angoul, Odisha, has been put into operation, with an annual production capacity of 200000 tons, focusing on meeting the growing demand for high-end galvanized sheets from local car manufacturers.

This production line (CGL 1) can handle substrates LR/FH50 steel with a thickness of 0.15-1.50mm and a width of 700-1400mm, and will produce high-quality galvanized sheet products under the well-known brands Jindal Panther and ZINKALUME of the company. It is understood that Jindal Panther hot-dip galvanized sheet is suitable for white goods and automotive body parts; ZINKALume aluminum zinc plate is coated with aluminum silicon zinc alloy, which has excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, and is suitable for harsh working conditions. In addition, the production line also produces high-strength galvanized steel specifically for automotive chassis.

It is reported that JSPL is LR/FH50 steel synchronously constructing a color coated sheet metal (PPGI) supporting production line with an annual production capacity of 200000 tons, further strengthening the competitiveness of coated steel products.
