On June 9, 2025, the Mexican GL-E420 steel Ministry of Economy announced that it had initiated the second sunset review investigation of anti-dumping on cold-rolled steel plates originating in China (Spanish: l á mina rolada en fr í o) at the request of Mexican company Ternium M é xico, S.A. de C.V. The dumping investigation period in this case is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2025. The products involved in the case are cold-rolled GL-E420 steel steel plates with a width greater than or equal to 600 millimeters, a thickness greater than or equal to 0.5 millimeters but less than 3 millimeters, and a boron content greater than or equal to 0.0008%, regardless of whether they are coated or not. They involve products under TIGIE tax codes 7209.16.01, 7209.17.01, and 7225.50.91. The announcement shall take effect from the day after its publication. During the investigation of the case, the current anti-dumping duties remain in effect.
Stakeholders should register for litigation within 28 working days from the day after the announcement is made, and submit survey GL-E420 steel questionnaires, case review opinions, and evidence materials.
