The United States International Trade Commission makes the first double reverse sunset review of steel propane cylinders, and the final ruling on industry damage

On June 6, 2025, the United States GL-F36 steel International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make the first anti-dumping sunset review industry injury affirmative final ruling on steel propane cylinders imported from China and Thailand, and the first anti subsidy sunset review industry injury affirmative final ruling on steel propane cylinders imported from China: ruling that if the current anti-dumping and anti subsidy measures are lifted, the substantial damage caused by the import of the involved products to the domestic industry of the United States may continue or occur again within a reasonable foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping and anti subsidy measures in this case remain effective.

On June 12, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced an anti-dumping investigation against steel propane cylinders imported from Chinese GL-F36 steel Mainland, Thailand and Taiwan, China, and a countervailing investigation against products imported from Chinese Mainland. On June 20, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce terminated its anti-dumping investigation against steel propane cylinders imported from Taiwan, China, China, because the applicant withdrew its application. On June 18, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it would make a final anti-dumping and countervailing determination on steel propane cylinders imported from Chinese Mainland, and also make a final anti-dumping determination on steel propane cylinders imported from Thailand. On July 1, 2024, the US Department of Commerce launched the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation into steel propane cylinders imported from China, and the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation into steel propane cylinders GL-F36 steel imported from Thailand. On November 8, 2024, the US Department of Commerce made its first anti-dumping fast sunset review final ruling on steel propane cylinders imported from China and Thailand. On November 12, 2024, the US Department of Commerce made its first countervailing fast sunset review final ruling on steel propane cylinders imported from China.
