Primetals Technologies (hereinafter "Primetals") announced on April 9 that it has signed a contract with the Turkish long-product producer Kardemir to modernize the automation systems at its steel plant. The project scope covers three 120-ton BOFs, four ladle furnaces (LF), and one vacuum degassing (VD) unit.
