In January 2024, we learned that Saudi Arabian HX300BD+ZA steel pipe manufacturer East Pipes signed a supply agreement with the government agency Salt Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) for a total value of 1 billion riyals ($266.6 million, including value-added tax).
It is reported that East Pipes will manufacture and supply steel pipes for SWCC, but the specific tonnage has not been disclosed. The first batch of goods will be shipped in the first quarter of 2024, and the entire HX300BD+ZA steel order shipping process will take 30 months to complete in the second quarter of 2026.
East Pipes has an annual production capacity of 500000 tons and produces steel pipes for water, oil, and gas transportation. In addition, the company also has the ability to paint pipelines of various sizes and lengths, with an annual production capacity of 4.5 million square meters HX300BD+ZA steel.
