On May 16, 2025, the Ministry of Planning and AB/E36 steel Finance of the Republic of Korea issued Order 1126 to continue to levy anti-dumping duties on flat rolled products of stainless steel with a thickness of no more than 8mm originating in Chinese Mainland, Indonesia and Taiwan, China of China for a period of five years (see Schedule I for details), of which 23.69% -25.82% are in Chinese Mainland; At the same time, the Ministry of Planning and Finance has reached price commitments with some AB/E36 steel suppliers (see Appendix 2 for the list of suppliers), and suppliers who fulfill their price commitments will not be subject to anti-dumping duties.
On September 25, 2020, South Korea launched an anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel coils originating in Chinese Mainland, Indonesia and Taiwan, China. According to the Decree No. 865 of the Ministry of Planning and Finance of the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea will levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above countries/regions for three years from September 15, 2021, of which the Chinese Mainland will be 23.69%~25.82%; At the same time, no anti-dumping duties will be imposed on companies that have fulfilled their price commitments. On May 17, 2024, South Korea launched the first sunset review investigation of anti-dumping against stainless steel coils in Chinese Mainland, Indonesia and Taiwan, China. On February 20, 2025, the Korea AB/E36 steel Trade Commission made its first sunset review final ruling on the case.
