Türkiye's steel export will BV/E500 steel continue to grow in the first half of 2025. According to the data released by Türkiye Iron and Steel Exporters Association (CIB) on July 12, Türkiye's total steel exports from January to June reached 9.75 million tons, up 13.6% year on year. Among them, hot-rolled coils and threaded steel exports have shown particularly outstanding performance, becoming the main varieties driving overall exports.

Specifically, the export of hot-rolled coils reached 2.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 44%; The export of rebar was 1.97 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 22%. Meanwhile, the export of welded pipes was 989000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%; 947000 tons of steel were exported, a year-on-year increase of 11%.

From the perspective of export market distribution, Romania is still Türkiye's largest export destination, with a cumulative export of 1.05 million tons, up 19.8% year on year. Italy and Spain followed closely behind, with 776000 tons (+16.5%) and 510000 tons (+56.2%), respectively. The export growth to Morocco was the most significant, with a year-on-year increase of 124%, reaching 474500 tons.

Despite the continued growth in export BV/E500 steel volume, the prices of finished materials remain weak. According to Mysteel data, as of July 15, Türkiye's rebar export quotation was 530 dollars/ton FOB. The market still faces weak terminal demand and pressure from price competition.

On the whole, Türkiye's steel BV/E500 steel exports continued to recover in the first half of 2025, especially hot coil and rebar. The follow-up market still needs to pay attention to the impact of EU quota adjustments and the global demand recovery pace on the export situation.
