The main reason for the growth is that the domestic construction industry has recovered compared to the sluggish situation in the first two months of the year, and the demand for scrap steel has increased. Vietnam's 34CrMoS4 steel scrap steel is mainly imported from Japan, the United States, Australia, and Hong Kong, China.
From specific data, Japan imported the most scrap steel, with a total import volume of 343000 tons in April, a year-on-year increase of 94.9%; The total import volume from January to April reached 1.127 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 30.1%. The import volume of Australian scrap steel in April reached 50000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 42.9%; The total import volume from January to April reached 150000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 28%. The import volume of scrap steel from the United States reached 49000 tons in April, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%; The total import volume from January to April reached 189000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 29.4%. The import volume of scrap steel from Hong Kong 34CrMoS4 steel, China reached 30000 tons in April, a year-on-year decrease of 36.7%. The total import volume from January to April reached 145000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 22.9%.
