Tosyali Algerie Spiral A841 Grade E steel Pipes, an Algerian subsidiary of Türkiye Tosyali Holding, has delivered steel pipes to RWTL. Tosyali Holding won the bid for the project in April 2024, and signed a supply agreement with RWE Power of Germany. Tosyali Algerie and Toscelik Spiral Boru, a local enterprise in Türkiye, each bear 50% of the supply share.
It is reported that the large-diameter steel pipes used in the project are processed by X65 grade hot rolled coils, which are produced by A841 Grade E steel Tosyali Group's low-carbon steel hot rolling plants in Türkiye and Algeria, and then the finished steel pipes are made locally and shipped to Germany. The overall supply is 130000 tons, mainly used to support the closure and renovation of coal-fired power plants and open-pit mining areas in the Rhine region. In the future, the relevant areas will be transformed into lakes to achieve ecological restoration. The project has started at the end of 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
At present, Tosyali Algerie and Toscelik Spiral A841 Grade E steel Pipe have an annual production capacity of 400000 tons of large-diameter steel pipes, providing strong support for this large-scale supply.
