Colombia makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling on welded pipes to China

On May 21, 2025, the Colombian AB/DQ43 steel Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Announcement No. 121 in the official gazette, regarding welded pipes originating from China metro nominal mayor o igual a 12.7 mm (1/2”) y menor o igual a 152.4 mm (6”) –Tuber A preliminary anti-dumping ruling has been made by í a Conduit to implement temporary anti-dumping measures in the form of a minimum price. When the declared offshore price (FOB) of the product in question is lower than the minimum AB/DQ43 steel price of $1019.50 per ton, a temporary anti-dumping tax equivalent to the difference between the minimum price and the declared price will be levied. The measures will take effect from the date of publication in the official gazette and are valid for four months. The product involved in the case is a circular cross-sectional welded pipe made of iron or steel with a nominal diameter ranging from 12.7 millimeters (inclusive) to 152.4 millimeters (inclusive), used to protect cables. It is a product under Colombian tax number 7306.30.99.00.

On February 20, 2025, the Colombian Ministry of AB/DQ43 steel Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Announcement No. 036 on February 19, 2025 in the official gazette, stating that an anti-dumping investigation has been initiated on welded pipes originating in China at the request of Colombian company TENARIS TUBOCARIBE LTDA.
