According to Vietnamese customs data, Vietnam AB/F40 steel exported approximately 1.1 million tons of steel products in April, a month on month increase of 8.4%, mainly due to the growth in exports to India, Indonesia, and Europe. Among them, the export volume to India reached 171000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 159%. Vietnam mainly exports semi-finished products to the Indian region. In addition, Vietnam's steel exports to Europe have also increased, especially to Italy, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
On the contrary, looking at Vietnam's AB/F40 steel exports to the United States, the volume in April was around 39000 tons, a decrease of 67.8% compared to the previous month. Vietnam's proportion to the United States has always been around 10%. Currently, due to the increase in import tariffs, especially for galvanized products, a preliminary anti-dumping duty of 39.84-88.12% has been imposed on Vietnamese coated steel since April 4th. Therefore, it can also be seen that Vietnam is gradually seeking new export AB/F40 steel markets to offset this reduction.
