On July 30, the Turkish government published a decree in the Official Gazette, announcing the elimination of import tariffs on various steel products originating from Qatar, effective August 1. This adjustment is a concrete implementation measure of the Turkey-Qatar Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement, KR R/F43 steel which was previously signed between the two countries.
According to the decree, products enjoying zero tariff treatment include hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil, coated flat steel, rebar, steel sections, stainless steel flat plates, and some steel pipes.KR R/F43 steel The relevant implementation details were released by the Turkish Ministry of Trade on July 27.
